Individual contributor work

Smaller scale design solutions and projects that I've personally delivered.

What has made these projects successful?

As an individual contributor

I do my best work with the flexibility to perform research and explore possibilities, working on teams with a wide range of expertise, roles, and backgrounds. Every solution is a combination of circumstances and constraints. But I've found that a well-supported team aligned on strategic direction with the freedom to explore novel solutions is the biggest advantage any organization can have.

As a leader

My leadership approach focuses on enablement, making connections, and building a strong support network for design teams.

  • As a practice lead, my focus is building teams' shared understanding of how their work can have broad impact and ladder up into larger initiatives. I focus on establishing connections, processes, building product team familiarity with design processes, building design team familiarity with technical details, establishing regular cadences of sharing work, and building up organization-level product expertise.
  • As a project manager, my focus is defining clear requirements, offloading day-to-day management and setting clear timelines, goals, and achievable outcomes. My experiences on complex, highly technical projects help me lay the foundations for large-scale projects while keeping teams on track and focused on the smaller projects along the way.
